Create a task for me to remind me to drink water every 4 hours
🤖
Done! 💧 Set up a "Water Reminder" that'll ping you here every 4 hours. First one fires around 1:46 AM PKT tonight — so you'll start getting regular nudges from tomorrow morning onward.
Want me to tweak the timing (like starting at a specific hour) or adjust the frequency?

Is this task created using a cron job or using Google tasks
🤖
Cron job. I used Hermes's built-in scheduler — it runs every 4 hours and sends you a WhatsApp message here directly.
Google Tasks and Google Calendar weren't involved at all. The reminder lives entirely in Hermes's cron system.
If you'd prefer it as a Google Calendar event or Google Task instead, I can set that up — but the cron approach has the advantage of actually messaging you proactively rather than just sitting in a calendar. 🙂
👤
I understand but I was testing Google task creation using Hermes could you cancel the crone job and create a sample task in Google tasks
🤖
Cron job cancelled. ✅ I found Google Tasks MCP tools — let me list your task lists first and then create a sample task.
🤖
You've got two lists: "Main" and "General". Let me create a sample task in Main.
🤖
Done! Here's what happened:
- Cron job cancelled ✅
- Google Task created ✅ in your "Main" list:
- Title: Drink Water
- Notes: "Stay hydrated — drink a glass of water!"
- Due: June 14, 2026 (5:00 AM PKT)
- Status: Pending
It's sitting in Google Tasks now — should be visible in Gmail's sidebar, Google Calendar sidebar, or Google Tasks app.
The MCP tools for Google Tasks are fully working: I can create, list, search, and (presumably) update/complete tasks too. Want me...

No all good
🤖
👍 All set then. Google Tasks is wired up and ready whenever you need it.
